Project T-41 Part 2 - June 12, 2021
(June 12, 2021) Metal, wheels, strobe lights...OH MY! What are the cadets of the 45th up to now? Yesterday the cadets of the 45th continued working on the T-41 Trainer. They started early in the morning with a trip to Industrial Metal Supply to pick up some metal for the gear and axel structures. Once back at Squadron, under the watchful eye of Maj. Benner, the group started designing the nose wheel assembly and also worked on finishing the measurements for the main gear mounting brackets. In the afternoon, everyone was treated to a Del-ightful lunch courtesy of SM Brandon Drewitz. After lunch the cadets resumed working diligently to get as much as they could completed on the trainer before days end. The long day concluded with programming and prewiring of the lights for the trainer. An absolutely amazing team effort by the cadets of the 45th! Thanks to 2nd Lt Field for being our Safety Officer for the day. Special thanks to Industrial Metal Supply for providing metal that was needed to help complete this project and special thanks to online-led-store.com for providing the strobe lights! Stay tuned to see more of the progression of this project...
