45CS March Field Air Museum Tour - April 23, 2022

Placeholder for March Air Museum Tour

(Saturday, April 23, 2022)  The 'Hawks' were at it again!  This time they flew the 'nest' over to March Air Field Museum!  Where they were all greeted by Lt. Col. Walter Fus!  Lt. Col. Fus gave the 'Hawks' a information filled tour of the museum.  He took them all outside and explained some of the details of the trainer aircraft the museum had and even opened up the C-141 and gave a tour!  Built by Lockheed, the museums C-141 is incredibly special named the "Spirit of the Inland Empire" had entered service in 1966 and has completed over 44,130 flight hours!  Other items that Lt. Col. Fus also included the SR-71 and the other historical items in the museum.  After, the 'Hawks' all gathered around and presented Lt. Col. Fus with a special 'Hawks' Challenge Coin and a plaque.   Special thanks to TSgt Salvatore J LaManna for coordinating this wonderful event!  The 'Hawks' also want to give a huge thank you to the staff at March Air Field Museum and Lt. Col. Walter Fus (he's a wealth of information and an amazing tour guide!!!)!!
